The file produced by Roland Berger in partnership with France Fintech has just been released and it is rich in lessons on the evolution of credit in France, mainly consumer credit.

Here are the main developments in the granting of credit. These developments are almost all driven by startups. The DSP2 also helped a lot.

  1. More individualized credit scoring. This makes it possible to reach new customers hitherto excluded from the system favoring individuals on permanent contracts or companies with the usual ratios.

  2. A drastically improved customer experience thanks to the web and UX innovations. Thus a loan can be granted in a few minutes, by a robot. And for more complex cases that require human study, the process is also simplified.

  3. The division of labor between: the distribution, the granting, the management and the carrying of the risk in the balance sheet. This specialization partly explains the two previous developments, but also requires rethinking regulation by the authorities.

Capsens has been developing digitization tools in finance since 2013. In terms of online credit applications, we have notably developed credit.frredit.fr, the platform on which VSEs and SMEs can submit their financing requests online (response within 48 hours, without personal guarantee).
