Regulatory reinforcement that leaves no choice

With the entry into force of the European Data Governance Act, all investment platforms are required to increase the transparency and protection of customer data. According to the KPMG “European Financial Regulation Outlook 2024” report, more than 70% of fintech executives believe that regulatory compliance will be their main challenge in the coming years. Fines linked to breaches in data management can reach 4% of annual turnover (source: European Commission, RGPD). This pressure makes players in the sector responsible: without a redesigned technical architecture, it is difficult to offer the secure monitoring and automated management required by law.

Scalability is becoming critical in the face of the explosion of uses

The market is changing rapidly: the European Investors Federation highlights an 80% increase in the volume of transactions on crowdfunding platforms between 2019 and 2023 (“FESE Report 2023”). These increases in load can no longer be absorbed by monolithic architectures. Thus, Gartner estimates that by 2026, more than 60% of financial platforms will migrate to modular and cloud-native infrastructures to support this growth (“Gartner Forecast: Cloud Architecture 2023-2027”). Platforms that incorporate automated KYC tools, dynamic dashboards, and real-time subscription increase their retention rate by 25% (“Temenos Global Survey 2022”). However, this fluidity is only allowed by a flexible architecture, capable of instantly connecting new modules and external partners.
